Well folks last weekend's penultimate round of the IVRA Endurance championship at Imola did not go to plan for the team as we suffered technical difficulties for our starting driver in the championship contending AM car and a lack in performance in the Ford GT in the PRO class.
The issue with the AM car caused them to miss qualifying forcing them to start from the back of the grid. Compiled with struggles in the race and exceeding the maximum drive time the end result was a DNF.
The PRO car didn't fair much better as the Ford GT struggled in performance on the tight Italian circuit, their best game plan for a good result was to stay consistent and work strategy through the safety car which saw the car work it's way up to eighth before getting taken out by an LMP2 driver not using his head.
So in the end both cars finished with DNF's, and all in all we were not happy with the outcome as this has had a big effect on the championship possibilities going into the final round. As it stands right now the AM car will need to win at Motegi and hope for a miracle to win the championship, but realistically we can only hope to get in to the top three.
Mark your calendars and tune in for the final stand in the IVRA championship at Twin Ring Motegi on April 10th which will be 10 hours of great racing as we push hard to finish on a high note.

We hope you all enjoyed watching the Quasar boys battling it out in the inaugural season of the IVRA GT Sprint Championship, a season that saw some ups and downs but mostly ups for both cars due to the great performance of all of our drivers. We concluded the final series at our home track CTMP with two very strong cars, but unfortunately both cars ran into some unfortunate bad luck due to mistakes from other cars around us. Not the way we wanted to finish but we look back at the season and are very happy with our accomplishments. Quasar Sim Racing takes 8th(Car #25 Garrett & Richard) and 9th(car #26 Jonnie & Aaron) in the final standings against some very tough competition. We will be returning for season two and look forward to more awesome coverage from Racespot TV. πŸ‘πŸ‘ ... See MoreSee Less
